SA 43 YEAR OLD SINGER LIRA HOSPITALIZED AFTER SUFFERING A STROKE

According to the family in a statement released on her official Facebook page, the 43 year old singer had recently travelled to Germany for a performance and suffered a stroke while there.  The post read: 

"To lira's beloved fans, clients and associates, as Lira's family, we would like to take this opportunity to share some recent developments regarding Lira's health. Lira recently travelled to Germany for a performance but unfortunately suffered a stroke whilst there. As a result, her ability to communicate in particular, her speech, has been impacted. She is currently undergoing treatment here in South Africa, led by the best medical team available. Her medical team had advised that her journey to recovery will require patience and therefore, it is unlikely that she will be able to perform in the short term. That said, Lira is in good spirits and is surrounded by her loving family and close friends as she journey towards a full recovery. 

we thank you all in advance for your prayers, support, kindness and utmost sensitivity and consideration during this very challenging time in her life. let there be light!"

The star recently opened up about how Covid-19 and the digital era have affected the music industry. 

" The digital era was the first thing that influenced music, people were not buying physical copies any more , you pay R50 to stream a million songs, how do you think the artist is getting, peanuts. Where we used to get such beautiful income, suddenly all of that is gone. It means artists had to find other ways to find sustenance," she told TshisaLive in an interview". Lira's music has stood the test of time and the star continues to book gigs all over the world.

Musa Khawula, as it turns out, may have blood on his hands

Dj Sbu allegedly swindling Zahara's money earned him a six-figure lawsuit?

  It all started when Khawula shared on his Twitter page that Zahara’s music award trophies were stolen during a home invasion. Six of Zahara's music awards have reportedly been stolen during a burglary at her home in Ruimsig; Roodepoort. Khawula made a damning statement alluding to DJ Sbu being involved in the burglary. He wrote; “DJ Sbu who is rumoured to have sent his thug friends to steal 6 of Zahara's awards sets to release 10 NFT pieces on the 30th April 2022.
